July 26, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has prepared a National Action Plan to implement the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC).
Sri Lanka’s cabinet of ministers Wednesday has approved the National Action Plan submitted by the President Mahinda Rajapaksa and appointed a Task Force headed by the Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga to monitor the implementation of the recommendations of the LLRC.

Fourth Land Commission to be established on LLRC recommendations –– Weeratunga
The government would submit the report which had listed the implementations of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission to the United Nations within the next two or three days, External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris told a joint news conference at the External Affairs Ministry auditorium yesterday.

The Swiss authorities are flying in legal officers of the Federal State Prosecutor’s office, the Swiss Federal criminal police, translators and defense counsels into Sri Lanka to investigate LTTE activities. They will question 26 witnesses.
