The Sri Lankan government is on the lookout for the people secretly supplying information to the Channel-4 television of UK, Sri Lanka’s Sinhala daily The Divaina newspaper reported today.
The newspaper reported that the Ministry of Defense has requested from the public to inform it if they know about any person secretly assisting the Channel-4 to betray the country.
Commander of Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya strongly rejecting the allegation that the Army killed the Tamil Tiger terrorist leader V. Prabhakaran’s son accused the overseas remnants of the LTTE and their supporters of conspiring against the country.
The Sri Lankan government says that all the concerns raised by the international community have been and are being addressed.
Deputy External Affairs Minister Neomal Perera said the government was doing its best in addressing all concerns.
“Although there are allegations, we cannot penalize anyone without proper information.
