Minister Jason Kenney says that Canada acted against its own interest by banning LTTE

Dear Jason:
I recall Martin Luther King Jr., saying: “We shall have to repent in this generation not so much for the evil deeds of the wicked people but for the appalling silence of the good people.” I consider myself as one “of the good people” guarding a Mother, my Mother Lanka from the baseball bat bludgeoning Canadian parliamentarians, Conservatives, Liberals and NDP alike, and as such I shall not be silent and I shall speak.
I was somewhat distraught and amazed by your statement to the Tamil Media during the recent media briefing at Markham’s Hilton, when you had said according to David Poopalapillai, the spokesperson for the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) that “…Canada acted against its own interests by listing the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as a terrorist group in 2006.” And that bothers me and should bother other Canadians across the country too. What Canadian interest were you talking of? I wish you had elaborated.
I thought this whole exercise of banning the Tamil Tiger terrorists was another step towards wiping out international terrorism after the 9/11 event, and safeguard Canada’s territory and her 33 million people from terrorism. And Tamil Tigers were the top-dog-terrorists, ruthless and serial killers worse than Al-Qaeda. So you representing the Conservative party and the Government of Canada is now on your knees to the sympathizers of the most ruthless terrorist group in the world, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) aka Tamil Tigers to say that Canada is sorry for banning them and now understand the folly as the Conservative Government acted against Canada’s own interest. This is amazing stuff, Jason. Sweet Mother of Jesus, what’s going on in Jason Kenney’s head? I think he needs a valium. I suppose you have no choice but to follow the Government’s policy now on Sri Lanka. Hmmm….I shall make a mental note of this turn of events as I certainly will have to make a choice of which party to vote at the next federal election.
That is not what I thought your reason for banning the Tamil Tigers was. And I supported the banning of the Tamil Tigers from Reform and Canadian Alliance days. And I supported 100 percent Minister of Public Safety Stockwell Day and You who spearheaded this banning. I suppose, “Tamil Tiger money amounting to billions of dollars is the root of all evil and also the bloc vote which will make the Conservatives win a majority in the next parliament, which will be the critical mass to decide whether to throw Sri Lanka after being bludgeoned unconscious into the Tamil Tiger’s den?”
Jason, to be honest, weren’t we Canadians other than the Tamil Diaspora scared of these Tamil Tiger terrorists who had assassinated two heads of state, Rajiv Gandhi of India at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai in South India, and President Premadasa of Sri Lanka in Colombo. And also Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister who was a Tamil, Lakshman Kadiragamar, a former Foreign Minister Ranjan Wijeratne, the Minister of Industries C.V. Gunaratne, the Leader of the Opposition Appapillai Amirthalingam, a Tamil, and the list goes on. These Tamil Tigers decimated most of their rival Tamil terrorist groups and killed their leaders, Sri Sabarathnam (TELO), Uma Maheswaran (PLOTE) and K. Padhmanabah (EPRLF) together with 13 members of his politbureau in an apartment in a Kodambakkam complex in South India. So The Tamil Tigers had successfully spread their octopus killer-tentacles across 24 miles of salt-water over the Palk Strait and went on assassinating whoever said “No” to their separatist cause. This was not a small child’s play ‘cops-and robbers’ murderous achievement to ignore. This was Big!
The Tamil Tiger terrorists was an India trained convention army with all sophisticated weaponry mostly bought with Canadian dollars, and the only terrorist group in the world that had a sea wing and an air wing with four Czech ZLIN-143 aircraft; that took on the 4th largest army in the world, the Indians, and sent back 1,200 of them in body bags when they were asked to get out of the island by President Premadasa who was later assassinated by the Tamil Tigers.
No wonder why Canada was mortified of the Tamil Tigers who perfected the suicide body pack and had 388 suicide bombings to show us that they were the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be as ruthless terrorist serial killers; and the best in the world as Master’s of suicide bombing. Jason, no wonder Canadians were scared of them.
We were told in an RCMP report that 8000 hardcore Tamil Tigers were walking the streets in the Greater Toronto Area. They had come in as refugees and one, Loganathan Sabanayagam was one in the group of killers of Jaffna Mayor Alfred Duraiappah in 1975, who was caught in 1992, in Toronto for forging passports and sent to jail for 18 months. This guy had been in jail for two years in Sri Lanka before he was released in an amnesty for Tamil Tigers, and managed to sneak in to Canada as a refugee and we being suckers took this murderer in and we have been stuck with this murderer ever since.
With this backgrounder of the Tamil Tigers, I fail to understand why you told the Tamil media that “Canada acted against own interests in listing LTTE (Tamil Tigers) as a terrorist group”.They were the New Mafia in Canada operating from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
You banned the Tamil Tigers on April 10, 2006, and now, on January 26, 2013, almost seven years later you seem to regret that your Conservative party listed them as a terrorist organization as you seem to think it was ‘against our own interests’. That is amazing stuff, Jason. What interest are we talking of?
On 20 August 2008, a leading national news paper reported that according to an RCMP Report, a Toronto non-profit group wired more than $3-million to overseas bank accounts, some of them linked to the Tamil Tigers. The Report pointed its finger at the World Tamil Movement (WTM) which was a Toronto based group accused of bankrolling Sri Lanka’s Tamil Tiger terrorists. Most of the money $1.9 million went to an account at the Bumiputra Commerce Bank in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Report says “is utilized as a vehicle to forward money to the LTTE from Canada.”
On June 16, 2008, Minister Stockwell Day announced that the Conservative government had added WTM in Ottawa’s official list of terrorist groups. “Tell me Jason, do you regret that WTM too was added as a terrorist group against our own interest?”
By December 2000, according to secret intelligence documents, eight non-profit organizations and five companies were operating in Canada as fronts for the Tamil Tiger terrorists. By that time the Liberal government had been provided the first official confirmation that Canada had been used as a base for Tamil Tiger murderous operations overseas like specialized suicide bombings and political assassination. And yet the Liberal government’s Prime Minister Jean Chretien and his finance Minister Paul Martin defended their moral and financial support of the groups that the Canadian Intelligence reported , and accused the opposition members of parliament like you of being motivated by “racism” rather than genuine concern for national security. Was that true?
The fact remains that the money forwarded by the World Tamil Movement to the Tamil Tigers were used to buy sophisticated military weapons to kill the innocent Sinhalese and Muslim civilians in Sri Lanka, where by Canada aided and abetted that Eelam war. And now your Conservative government’s parliamentarians have the audacity and temerity to ask for accountability from the Sri Lankan Government for the deaths during the last five months of the 594 month war. You know, Jason, that is a bunch of baloney hanging in a stall at the ByWard Market in Ottawa. Wars kill you know Jason. If Canada did not allow the Tamil Diaspora fund that war to buy war weapons, the killings would have been reduced at least by 40 percent.as Canada’s Tamil Diaspora provided one-third of the annual Tamil Tiger’s war budget. That is commonsense and simple logic.
Well Jason, national security was the Conservatives real concern during te Liberal’s governing years, and that is why you all wanted to ban the Tamil Tigers promising the Canadian peoples that you will ban them if you Conservatives get into power. You Conservatives stuck to your promise. The Conservatives won on 23 January 2006, and on 10th April 2006, announced that you have proscribed the Tamil Tigers (LTTE).
By then almost all non-Tamil Sri Lankans paid tribute to you all for banning the Tamil Tigers and saving the lives of 1000s of innocent Sinhalese and Muslims who would have been massacred by the Tamil Tiger terrorists, with weapons bought with Canadian dollars, which was a daily affair.
By then the RCMP, Toronto Police, Immigration Officials and CSIS had been warning for years that Canada had become the playground for the groups affiliated to the Tamil Tiger terrorists. By then it wasn’t too much to hope that those entrusted with the stewardship of the nation, like Prime Minister Harper and you, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, will at last stop blocking your ears, as the Liberals had done for 13 years.
But with your statement to the Tamil media in Markham on 26 January 2013 when you said “…Canada acted against its own interest by listing the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as a terrorist group on 2006”, there seems to be an accumulation of an extra secretion of earwax in your ears which had blocked them. That is unfortunate for the innocent Sri Lankans back in that island nation exposing them to a possible second wave of Tamil Tiger terror in Sri Lanka.
And the chance is that their butts will be whipped again as they were whipped the first time around in early 2009 by the disciplined Sri Lankan armed forces and be eliminated again. Let’s not forget that Sri Lanka was the only country in the world that wiped out, single handed, a terrorist group, which had a conventional army, an air wing and a sea wing, and who were the top-dogs in the world of terrorism. Eat your hearts out NATO forces in Afghanistan who are trying to eliminate the Taliban for years.
So Jason, you told the Tamil media that “…Canada acted against its own interest by listing the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as a terrorist group in 2006.” Alright then, let’s spit out what comes next in the natural logical progression of the planned events on Sri Lanka by the Conservative Harper Government?
Is it that you all will lift the ban on the LTTE just before the next federal election, where by the Conservatives will secure 100% of the separatist Tamil votes in the Greater Toronto Area and elsewhere and hang on to the majority in the next Canadian parliament?
Jason, if honesty if part of your political life, then tell me, and all Canadians that Asoka Weerasinghe is far off base. And that you Conservatives have no intention to lift the ban of the Tamil Tigers before the next general election.
