Non-Western nations have long known that non-governmental organizations, ostensibly set up to provide humanitarian services to citizens in their respective countries, such as against police or other public authorities, fighting poverty or environmental degradation, are funded by foreign regimes to serve their agendas.
Though the President of USA Barack Obama’s father was from a developing country, the President is not interested in poor developing countries, preferring to hobnob with the White Nations of the West, and those prosperous Nations in Asia. He visited India perhaps for political reasons and because pandering it would help US political strategy against China.
India demands Sri Lanka holds a “credible investigation”. Sri Lanka must oblige India. That investigation must cover two important aspects. Firstly, it must cover India’s role in creating, training, financing and supporting the LTTE as a terrorist movement and India’s war crimes committed on Sri Lankan citizens by the IPKF.
As a rule, living in Sri Lanka means encountering some of the friendliest people on earth. But since the civil war ended in 2009, it must be said, there is a startlingly consistent loathing for India, and a doubled such loathing for Tamils from India.
